Drink Drive ban for Andover man

Wiltshire Police have confirmed that an Andover man has been banned from driving for one year.

26 year old Christian Hobday from New Street in Andover was stopped by officers on 12th September last year, as he was driving his BMW on Friary Lane in Salisbury.

Hobday was caught over the drink drive limit in Salisbury has been banned from the roads for 12-months.

A test showed 49 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit in England is 35 microgrammes.

Last week he pleaded guilty to drink driving and was disqualified from driving for a year and fined more that £230 (including court costs). The ban will be reduced by three months if he completes a driving course.
