Hampshire’s leading disability charity, Enham Trust, have made their centenary mark with a blooming ‘100’ flowerbed art installation in Enham Alamein during this National Gardening Week.
It comes as the charity, which supports disabled people to live, work and enjoy life, marks 100 years since their incorporation as a Trust. Since then, Enham Trust has supported more than 250,000 disabled people to live full lives and reach their goals, with an ambition to continue making a difference within the disabled community for the next 100 years and beyond.
The celebratory flowerbed was planted by Enham Trust’s very own Gardening Team of both supported and non-supported employees, some of whom joined #TeamEnham via their Strive programme, which helps support disabled people into work.
Alongside the flowers planted by the team are colourful plaques depicting disabled people painted by residents living within the charity’s care homes. These paintings highlight just some of the many positive aspects of disability whilst paying homage to the charity’s epic #Enham100Challenge fundraiser launched earlier this year.
To help Enham Trust mark their centenary, the charity is seeking 100 #TeamEnham fundraisers to take on the challenge of their century. The beauty is, individuals or groups can make up their very own challenge to do with the number 100, or they can sign up to one of Enham Trust’s pre- curated or partner events.
