Exciting times for The Long Overdue Theatre School

The Long Overdue Theatre School

The Long Overdue Theatre School (TLOTS) is to be acquired by local Theatrical Storytelling Company, Stories and More, which has exciting plans for the Performing Arts academy.

Children and young people aged from 4 to 16 attend TLOTS which offers singing, dancing and drama classes, as well as after-school clubs in the local area.

Stefan Pearmain, who has very successfully run TLOTS for the past 5 years, has taken the decision to move onto other business projects and Stories and More is delighted to be taking over with effect from September, to further develop the school and its talented students.

Teoni Randall, Artistic Director and co-owner of Stories and More said “We are thrilled that we are going to be able to build on Stefan’s great work and further develop TLOTS. I have been teaching at the school for the past 6 years and I am excited to be involved in its continued growth and success as we move forward. Our aim is for TLOTS to be increasingly involved in local community events, showcasing the wonderful talents of the students.

The school will run in exactly the same format from September with classes in Dance, Drama and Singing each week” explained Lillie Collier, co-owner of Stories and More.

TLOTS’ aim and strapline is ‘Making the Arts Accessible’ and to that end, we have lots of new ideas including the introduction of Practitioner Workshops. These sessions will be led by a variety of performing arts professionals and will present new ideas and cutting-edge techniques to the students.

Teoni and Lillie will use their years of expertise in working with children and young people to give TLOTS a fresh new leadership and carry on igniting children’s imaginations in a fun, fast and theatrical way. Retaining The Long Overdue Theatre School name, identity and ethos, they will manage this new venture alongside Stories and More.

The Long Overdue Theatre School offers free taster sessions to anyone considering joining.
