Hundreds raised for The Fire Fighters Charity

Over the weekend locals came to show their support at Andover’s Fire station, London Road. Queuing up to get their cars washed Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire service raised a whopping £870 washing cars.

The car wash was organised in remembrance of 9/11, 20 years since the shocking attack in America that saw thousands lose their lives including hundreds of firefighters.

All donations raised are for The Fire Fighters charity, which offers specialist lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives, and their families. For current and retired fire personnel.

New business Fire away Pizza, also supported by providing pizza to those that were washing the cars.
