Katie Piper has been announced as the first Strictly 2018 contestant on BBC Breakfast this morning (Monday 13th August).
The presenter and campaigner from Andover was the host at last year’s Pride Of Andover Awards and will be opening this year’s Andover Lake Run on 16th September. She also founded The Katie Piper Foundation in 2009 following a horrific acid attack.
Speaking on the BBC SCD website she said “I feel so privileged and excited to be part of my favourite show on TV. I already know how much of an amazing experience it will be for me and I can’t wait to show my girls some of my new dance moves!”
