Local charity receives £11,000 from dance school

Local charity Kids on Track received a brilliant donation from Suzanne school of dance after a performance at The Lights.

Over 250 dancers took to the stage (per performance) to a sold-out audience, and put on a most fabulous show each time.  All four SSD teachers give their time free of charge to compose, organise, schedule and direct the show.  They hand-make many of the costumes, with help from their wonderful SSD families.  Their backstage support is also these kind families and friends, and also many treasured ex-SSD pupils.

A spokesperson from Suzanne School of dance said “We were thrilled to be able to donate such a fabulous sum to Kids on Track from the proceeds of our recent SSD show, “It’s Showtime!”, which we performed at The Lights.

“We are delighted to be able to present this sum to Kids on Track; truly such a worthy cause, for the work they do is so valuable during these difficult times. We hope we can help them to continue the brilliant job they are doing”.

All profits from the ticket sales, raffle entries and programme donations are then added together to total the fantastic sum of £11,000!

Kids on Track is a small charity that provides activity camps for children from some disadvantaged Andover areas. We aim to work with these children in the years to come, offering a mentoring programme enhancing their lives and giving practical support.
