Mobile post office and grocery deliveries

Barton Stacey Stores

The team at Barton Stacey Stores are providing really useful services during lockdown.

During the coronavirus lockdown Kevin, Lisa and their family from Barton Stacey Post Office and Stores saw it as their duty to keep their neighbours safely shielded by taking groceries and other essentials directly to them.

That service became very popular and they are still delivering to lots of people who like the convenience of home deliveries and who want to support their village store, which is why they have since launched a handy website.

Kevin May tells Love Andover that they are grateful to have had the help of many kind volunteers during the Covid-19 crisis, and have now linked up with Barton Stacey Cars to help get your shopping to you promptly.

Kevin said, “I tuned to Andover Radio today and happened to hear an announcement for my village shop.

“We bring our Mobile Post Office to Shipton Bellinger on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nether Wallop on Tuesdays, Grateley every Wednesday and Rosebourne Garden Centre at Weyhill on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

“It’s a real community service, since our fully equipped post office van has replaced village branch offices that unfortunately closed down.”

The family take fruit and veg boxes with them on the van, or can deliver them – along with any other groceries customers might like – straight to people’s doorsteps anywhere in the Andover area at other times.
