In the build-up to Christmas 2021, Andover BID through InAndover hosted a business Town Centre best dressed Christmas window competition which ran from 1 -20th December and this year consisted of a physical judging panel as well as an online public voting system.
Businesses were invited to display their windows in an attractive Christmas theme and eleven town-centre businesses entered. Winner, Georgina Roberts of Mooch said, “We are so delighted to have won the competition again this year, we put a lot of thought and effort into our Christmas window each year and would like to thank the judges and our customers and the local people of Andover who voted 2 online for us to be winner. We are going to donate the prize to The Countess of Brecknock Hospice as they do such wonderful work. “
Steve Godwin, BID Manager says” The aim of the contest was to have some fun in the town and to stimulate interest in Andover Town Centre whilst helping to drive physical and online footfall to businesses. And all businesses had to do was to submit a photograph of their festive window and notify BID of their intention to enter. The Winning business received £150 to be donated to a local charity of their choice and a gin tasting session for four people, donated by local company, Wessex Spirits”
