Over a Grand raised from a hero quiz night

Local cleaning company Moores Cleaning Services raised over £1,000 for Help for Heroes at their ‘Over-18s Quiz Night’ on Friday.

The event at the Wolversdene Club gave Wiltshire-based charity Help for Heroes a cheque from funds raised by quiz entries and a large raffle.

The charity event also featured Nick Butt from Moores Cleaning attempting his best Gordon Ramsay impression in a cloud of smoke from the huge Barbeque outside in the rain.

Matt Whatley, Operations Director at Moores said, “We raised £1,122.00 on Friday night and would like to say a big thank you to all who entered and helped us to reach this amazing amount.”

The team ‘Love Andover Loafers’ weren’t quiet in celebrating their achievements after they won first prize in the quiz, made up of around 70 people from local companies. ‘Loafers’ team members Richard Hobbs, Ben Morris, Martin Miller, Craig Hicks, Rebecca Speculo and Ella Palmer were more than happy to sing and dance while showing off their trophies.

“Thank you to all the local businesses who provided raffle prizes and helped support the event with their donations,” added Matt Whatley, “Thanks to the Wolversdene Club for hosting the event and all the staff at Moores for making the evening possible.”

“It was a great laugh and really well supported on the night.”
