The judges and clipboards were out yesterday to crown the High Streets best Christmas window display.

14 businesses entered this years competition where the winner will receive £200 (Donated from Love Andover, Andover BID and The Lifestyle Card) to donate to a charity of their choice. Organised by the Andover BID, Steve Godwin said “The many shops here in the High Street always create such magnificent displays and this is a great way to spread some Christmas cheer”

The judges included our very own Ben Tuffin, Sean from The Lifestyle Card, Cllr Iris Anderson and Test Valley Borough Council leader Phil North who were tasked to judge the windows and mark out of 10 in different categories like how the window conveys the Christmas spirit, use of lights, inventive use of materials and the ‘wow factor’.

The judging began at the top of the High Street starting with At Last. The judges made their way down the High Street, with stops at The Travelling Cupcake, owner Bev had prepared some mince pies for the judges to prepare them for the judging process (No bribes were taken).

The judges all gave their scores independently, with BID manager Steve Godwin to compile the scores with a winner being announced on Monday 21st December.
