The Boot inn at Shipton Bellinger has been put on the market after announcing that they were closing last month.
Owners Lee and Sally Turland decided to call it a day after 26 years of owning the popular pub and restaurant. With the pandemic, the soaring prices of everything and the lack of staff in hospitality the couple decided it was the time to close.
The pub is listed with Sidney Phillips and is on the market for offers around £850,000 or lease offers around £40,000. The business key features are listed as:
Free House next to Church in large Village
Close to major trunk road
Same ownership for 26 years
Catering driven with high level of turnover
90 cover trading area
Stable outbuilding ripe for B&B conversion
Private lease also available
Sally Turland told us “After 26 years of trading we have decided to sell so that we can focus on other ventures, health and family. This would suit a young dynamic couple to take over”
The prospect of Community use is considered and possible change of use subject to planning.
