Police in Andover have an event this weekend so people can find out more about becoming a Special Constable.
School caretakers, electricians and a university professor are among those who protect our communities as part of our Police Services’s Special Constabulary… and you could join them on the frontline.
Andover Police have organised an event is for those wishing to find out more about the role of Special Constable and information and advice surrounding the recruitment process.
Organisers say, “It is a brilliant opportunity to speak with current serving Specials and the recruitment team”.
‘Specials’ have the same powers as police officers and go through very similar training as ordinary officers.
It will be held at Picket Piece Village Hall on Saturday afternoon from 1.30pm.
‘Specials’ are a valuable asset to all police forces and form a strong link between the police and the communities we serve.
