Georgie Pinchon is the Chief Executive Officer of a Hampshire based child bereavement support charity.
Simon Says aims to support children and young people up to the age of 18 years who have a significant person in their life who has died or is dying.
Georgie will be talking to 95.9FM Andover Radio’s Ben Morris this Monday evening at 8pm on ‘The Word’, explaining their work and their plans for the future.
Georgie who has been with the charity for six years will be explaining that the charity offers “information and advice to move forward in their lives, but never to forget their significant person.”
One of the charity’s patrons is Sally Taylor from BBC South Today and the West Wellow based organisation tuns a telephone support line.
The charity estimates that in 2015, 23,600 parents died in the UK, leaving dependent children – that’s one parent every 22 minutes.
By the age of 16, around 1 in 20 young people will have experienced the death of one or both of their parents.
