Splash of colour raises money for children’s charity

Shade Andover NSPCC Fundraiser

An Andover beauty business owner has raised nearly £500 for a children’s charity with a novel ‘nail marathon’.

At the weekend, Natasha Fisher, owner of Splash of Beauty on The Broadway, offered a pre-booked £15 nail appointment every hour on the hour for 12 hours straight, with every penny raised going straight to the NSPCC.

Natasha was inspired to help out the NSPCC having worked on The Academy Team at Simplyhealth where she regularly carries out safeguarding training and said she was ‘touched by the great work that NSPCC do for children’.

The event took place in the award-winning Andover hair salon Shade on Saturday (11th July 2021) and has so far raised £490.

Natasha says, “For many children a year of worry, with so much time spent at home, has had a devastating impact on their mental health. Others have felt trapped in unsafe homes, suffering abuse and neglect. £10 could pay for a practitioner to answer two calls from concerned adults to the NSPCC helpline.”
