Four Fun Fridays is back this summer! Test Valley Borough Council, in conjunction with Andover Vision, is delighted to announce the return of these popular free, family friendly events each Friday in August at various locations throughout the town centre.
Celebrate the fun of being outdoors in Andover this summer holiday with creative crafts, storytelling, street theatre and children’s workshops in Andover High Street, the Chantry Centre and Town Mills riverside park.
Join Adambara and Zhim for street theatre, Circus Allstars for some new skills and Merry Go Round Storytelling for some tall tales. Alternatively get creative with Urban Canvas and their pavement art, or learn about the natural world all around us from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
Leader of the council, Councillor Phil North said: “Four Fun Fridays are a free and exciting way for parents to keep their little ones occupied each Friday during the school summer holiday. The events support the council’s ambitions for public art in Test Valley, as well as helping to keep the town centre alive and invigorated. The Four Fun Friday’s project has continued to grow in popularity as it now enters its fifth year and has become an established entry in the town centre calendar.”
All events are outside in the fresh air and do not need to be pre-booked. Visitors are encouraged to drop in to more than one event and to explore the links in between the different locations; perhaps stay for a picnic in riverside park or a coffee or ice-cream in the High Street, extending the experience to a full, family-friendly day out. This event is funded by Section 106 developer contributions from the Andover Business Park.
