Stockbridge Primary closed due to Covid

Stockbridge Primary and Pre-School has closed from today, Thursday 8th October 2020, following the news that three people had tested positive for Covid-19 at the school.

They are unable to open the school to any bubble, due to the impact on staffing.

All children who are pupils at the school have been asked to stay at home and learn online as they did during lockdown using Google Classroom.

Emma Jefferies Headteacher of Stockbridge Primary School says, “We are working hard, in liaison with Hampshire County Council and following the advice of Public Health England, to keep all of us as safe as possible. We know that this isn’t an ideal situation for any of us and we are working collaboratively to find a solution for the following week and will come back to you as soon as we have that, by the latest, end of the day Friday this week.”

What to do if your child has symptoms

If your child has any of the main symptoms of coronavirus:

  1. Get a test to check if they have coronavirus as soon as possible. You can apply for a test here. If you are applying for a home test the best time to apply is at 12pm .
  2. Stay at home and do not have visitors until you get the test result – only leave your home to have a test.

Anyone you live with, and anyone in your support bubble, must also stay at home until you get the result.
