Walk The Test… Another Way

Walk The Test Salisbury Hospice Charity

Salisbury Hospice Charity have launched their long-running event ‘Walk the Test Another Way’ for 2020.

The Salisbury hospice usually have many walkers taking part in this stunning walk raising much-needed income, but, due to the current Coronavirus situation, this year’s event is being put on with a twist… the charity is asking people to walk it where you are.

It’s a great opportunity for people to discover the beautiful countryside on their doorstep and take part in “Walking the Test.. Another Way” in aid of the Salisbury Hospice Charity.

Andover Radio’s Dave Woollatt who works for the charity says, “We’re really excited to once again be part of this wonderful event that has raised so much over the years for our hospice.

“It’s a great opportunity this year to ‘Walk the Test’ your way, where you are and help fund vital services across our community.

The hospice costs almost £2.4m a year to run and whereas some funding comes from the Government the charity aims to raise £1.5m a year to ensure their vital services are maintained.

The hospice was able to help almost 1,000 people last year but would not have been able to do so without the funds raised by people and events around Wiltshire and Hampshire.

Salisbury Hospice Charity offers nursing and medical care, emotional and practical support, welfare advice, occupational and physiotherapy, complementary therapies, spiritual care and creative activities.
