Witnesses sought to assault at The Rockhouse

Andover Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as part of an assault investigation in Andover.

Officers were called to a report of an assault outside The Rockhouse on London Street, at around 11.30pm on Sunday 2 September.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was punched and fell to the ground after leaving the bar.

He was taken to Basingstoke hospital, where he received treatment for cuts to his head before being discharged.

A 21-year-old man from Andover was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and questioned by officers. He was released from custody but remains under investigation.
