Unity for Thruxton Motorsport Celebration 2019

Following the success of their 50th Anniversary Celebration, Thruxton are again holding their two-day Motorsport Celebration.

Visitors will be treated to incredible on-track racing action with glorious machinery from across the decades.

A host of activities will also be taking place off track, including kids’ activities, Supercar Displays, Skid-Pan demonstrations and much more.

Organisers say that the Thruxton Motorsport Celebration will be ‘the perfect summer day out for the whole family.’

Thruxton have once again invited local community charity Unity to participate in the event on the 1st and 2nd June 2019 to provide circuit rides for the general public enabling people to feel the thrills and spills of the race circuit for themselves.

Local radio station 95.9FM Andover Radio will be broadcasting from the annual event.

The Unity team will be at the race circuit complete with gazebos, fur of their minibuses, an accessible car – and for the first time – mobility scooters which can be hired out by spectators to help them enjoy all aspects of the circuit if they have mobility issues.

Graham McLane, Unity Transport Manager said, “Participating for the second year in this auspicious racing event is such a privilege and we are thrilled to be able to offer circuit rides once more.

“The rides were so well received on the day that we are fielding two additional buses to give people this once in a lifetime chance to go around the circuit themselves”

Unity Volunteering will also participate on the day with Christianne Ireland promoting the benefits of volunteering and the positive impact this can have on the local community.

Watch out for the Unity team and circuit tours, proceeds of which will be used to support future Unity work. And hear more about the work of Unity on 95.9FM Andover Radio throughout the day.
