Apex Prime Care is expanding its services across the South Coast, with the acquisition of Smart Care.

Apex Prime Care which has offices at Russell Court in Andover is a leading domiciliary care provider with branches across the South coast. Built on sound principles, the family run business knows the importance of caring for their loved ones and has designed a comprehensive list of services to meet the needs of its service users.

Apex Prime Care started in Dorset in 2001, when its founders noticed a lack of quality home care available for their sibling, who needed companionship and disability support. Apex Prime Care has expanded over the years to care for a range of clients; from helping elderly dementia sufferers to maintain their independence, to supporting clients with their mental health and money management.

Apex Prime Care has recently acquired Smart Care, a well-established home care company with branches in Surrey and Hampshire. The acquisition will allow Apex Prime Care to develop their presence within Surrey and add to their already strong presence in Hampshire.

The directors of Smart Care, Paul King and Alex Van Oortmerssen, retired on Thursday 1st April and the company is set to be incorporated into Apex Prime Care from next Monday (19th April 2021).

“We aim to foster an atmosphere of care and support, enabling our service users to live as full, interesting and independent a lifestyle as possible.” said Malcolm Patrick, Managing Director, Apex Prime Care. “Our values align with Smart Care and this expansion is a testament to our desire to make independent living possible for all”.

The takeover will deliver an additional 2,000 hours of care each week and take the company’s total number of branches to over 25.

The importance of Home Care Assistants has heightened throughout the pandemic as they have served as a lifeline to the communities most vulnerable. In a time of isolation, Apex Prime Cares service users were not isolated, thanks to the care and companionship of their Home Care Assistants.
