Local company, Alligator HC, has recently made a generous donation to Naomi House & Jacksplace by providing a brand-new air conditioning system free of charge.
The state-of-the-art Panasonic system was donated by Panasonic UK, while Alligator provided the necessary materials and labour for the installation.
The new air conditioning system will help provide a comfortable environment in terms of temperature for the service users of Naomi House in their “forget me not room”. Naomi House & Jacksplace is a hospice that provides care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions, as well as support for their families.
Alligator HC decided to support Naomi House & Jacksplace after the winner of their recent “name the gator competition” held on Andover Radio, offered the prize back to the company on the condition that it be given to a worthy cause. The hospice was an easy choice for Alligator HC, and they hope that the new air conditioning system will help the users of the forget me not room to live in a room that has full temperature control, making a positive impact on their experience at the hospice. The unit is used for both cooling and heating so will be an energy efficient device all year round.
Last year, the temperature in the forget me not room was unbearable, adding to what is already a very stressful time for everyone involved. The new Panasonic system provides temperature control that is assisting in the creation of a calm environment, and in the summer, this will be needed even more. The feedback from Naomi House & Jacksplace has been extremely positive, with the new air conditioning system providing a much-needed source of comfort and relief for the service users.
Alligator HC chose to name the gator used in their competition “CHASE”, which stands for Cooling, Heating, And Service Excellence. This name is a reflection of their commitment to providing quality service and support to their clients and the wider community.
The generous donation from Alligator HC will go a long way in helping Naomi House & Jacksplace provide the best possible care for their service users. The hospice is grateful for the support of local businesses like Alligator HC, who demonstrate a strong sense of community and social responsibility.
