Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk

The staff at Alina Homecare in Andover have told us all about the fundraising they are doing to raise some funds for the Alzheimer’s society.

They told Andover Radio, “We have and still do work alongside some incredible people, who all have some sort of connection and/or have an emotional attachment to someone living with dementia. We wanted to do our part and raise some funds for the Alzheimer’s society so they can continue to support the people we care for, their loved ones and families. We are passionate about dementia care and we wanted to support a charity close to our hearts. We took part and set out a target of £400 but smashed that by raising £1380! We split our team up into a few walks so we could accommodate everyone’s availability and abilities. Collectively we covered over 90km around Andover and surrounding villages, and there were some blisters but all worth it to raise such an amount.”
