ANDOVER UNLOCKED: The Record Box

Record Box Andover

Andover’s hidden gem is due to open again from Tuesday 13th April.

The Record Box on George Yard is a treasure trove for fans of records, TV and film. Owner Phil Nightingale says, “The Record Box will finally reopen after months of regulations.

“Let’s hope this will be the last time we are forced to close. We will have loads of new stock for you to peruse. After the last manic year let’s hope that we can finally get our business up and running as they are supposed to.”

The pepperbox-sized shop opposite Burgo’s Pet World mimics a Tardis; small on the outside but packed with goodies on the inside. Dr Who fans will fully appreciate the store. It stocks TV and film merchandise including badges, models and posters, as well as thousands of vinyl records.

Phil, a fan of Gerry Anderson’s ‘Marionation’ creation Captain Scarlet adds, “We will have a new promotion coming at the end of April for all our customers.

“It will give everyone a chance to win £200 in gift vouchers to spend in store. When you spend £25 you will get a free raffle ticket for the draw. You can also purchase a raffle ticket at £2.50 a ticket.

“Exciting times ahead”.
