Anton Rotary Club provides boost for Foodbank

Anton Rotary Club has had much pleasure in presenting a cheque for £2000 to Andover’s Foodbank.

This contribution, presented by Ian McLeod, Anton Rotary Club ‘s President, to Jenny LeLean, the manager of Andover’s Foodbank, at a time when the squeeze on family incomes is driving more families to seek additional help.

The money will help the Foodbank to purchase some of the essential food items needed to assemble the food boxes that are given to individuals and families struggling through these difficult  times.

Manager Jenny said on receiving the the cheque that it would really help in enabling the foodbank to continue providing food support when the demand has been increasing and is at unprecedented level for this time of year.

Anton Rotary Club will continue to support the Foodbank when possible. The club continues to raise monies for local community needs and is grateful for the support Andover Residents give to the club’s activities throughout the year.
