Artswork’s Winter Fundraiser helping local children to be creative

Last year, the Creative Christmas fundraiser reached over 500 families, giving out arts and crafts packs to the children and young people, but many families remain in need of help.

Once again, they are working with food banks, community centres and education settings across the South to distribute creative packs to children and young people, giving them happiness and joy over the winter.

Recent statistics released by the Trussell Trust show that three food parcels are given out every minute in the UK, with parcels for families increasing at double the rate than that for just adults. This year, they want to reach more families, bringing smiles to hundreds of children as they receive their parcel of creative equipment and ideas to keep them occupied during the winter holidays.

They are also adding an online workshop this year, led by a professional artist who will guide the young people through using their craft materials. This workshop will be available online after taking place.

Just £20 will provide a festive gift for a child allowing them to explore, make and smile. Click here to donate
