A £750 boost? It’s the yeast Test Valley Borough Council can do…
Nigel Male set up a mobile wood-fired pizza business last year and has received a boost from the council after qualifying for a Business Incentive Grant. Trading at markets in Andover and taking residency for evening pitches, Nigel has had a fantastic start to his new venture, topping his expectations.
Sprinkledwith ingredients sourced from local retailers, Nigel has put in a lot of effort to ensure that the pizzas serve the local community in more ways than one.
Nigel said: “This is a dream come true for me. I love that I have been able to provide catering services to the people of Andover, as well as support other local businesses by carefully sourcing my ingredients.
“The council’s Business Incentive Grant has been a real help during the process of setting up my business. I would urge any new business to approach the council and ask if they qualify for a grant!”
Andover Harroway ward councillor, Tony Burley presented the grant to Nigel. He said: “The council’s grants are here to support new business in the borough, and I’m pleased that Nigel has been able to take advantage of the Business Incentive Grant. I look forward to enjoying a slice or two of his pizzas in the future!”
The council’s business incentive grants aren’t on a knead-to-know basis…they’re available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant will receive £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.
These funds have become available to the community as a consequence of the council’s prudent investments, financial management and the use of the New Homes Bonus.
