Cash for Kids Day 2021

Countdown to the Autumn term. The shoes are being bought, pencil cases are getting filled, it’s almost time for a new academic year. If you are a local family finding it hard to get essentials for the new term, funding is available to help.

Cash for Kids new grant offers £35 a child from 0-18 years basic essentials such as school uniforms, school shoes, food, clothing, underwear, pyjamas etc. Applications must be made by a service providing organisation and not directly from the person/s responsible for the children. (i.e. parents or guardians).

Organisations can apply for funds to support children living in or affected by poverty. Grants will be £35 per child for items that support children and young people’s physical and mental well-being.
Items they consider funding include food, clothing, well-being packs and play equipment. This list is not exhaustive and consideration will be given to applications that aim to improve physical and mental well-being and have the required supporting documentation.

If this is something you think that you would benefit from please speak to your child’s school, social services, a local youth charity or club. That know your family and your situation so that they can apply for this support for you.
