The Andover and Romsey Covid Immunisation programme commenced this morning supported by Unity Volunteers. From 8am today, invited residents were seen arriving at both Crosfield Hall, Romsey and The Lights Andover ably assisted by local people who had signed up to help as volunteers.
In Andover, Mr & Mrs Lever were the first in line to receive their jabs. Unity Mobility had even provided four wheelchairs for marshals to use to help people struggling to walk to and from the local car parks.
Terry Bishop, Unity Chief Executive was on site at the Lights from 7.45am this morning to wish the volunteers good luck. She said “Unity is delighted to be able to work with both the Andover and Romsey Primary Care Networks to provide support during this important vaccination roll out. We are most grateful to all those people who have already registered as a volunteer. Without their assistance we would not be able to provide this important service.”
