House of Lords Chief Whip Lord Stoneham is visiting Andover to see first-hand the consequences of insufficient education funding and support and how this impacts local businesses.
Lord Stoneham will be meeting a variety of people and organisations in Andover to discuss how government cuts affect them.
Lord Stoneham will visit The Little Junction, which had been downsized after £56,000 of county council funding was pulled from the Andover Foyer earlier this year. The Liberal Democrat peer will also visit the Test Valley Community Services Streets Project and Redenham based national charity Veterans In Action (VIA).
Organiser David Coole has also arranged a VIP Lunch at Andover Guildhall. Local business people and members of the community will get the opportunity to meet Lord Stoneham and hear him speak on the challenges facing local communities and businesses.
The day’s activities culminates with an Fun Party at Andover Manor with family entertainment and activities including bouncy castles, sumo suits, face painter, live band, disco, BBQ, raffle, auction and a licensed bar.
