Four drugs arrests made in Andover

Officers from Andover’s Neighbourhood Policing Team made four arrests after officers stopped and searched a car.

The car was stopped by officers on foot in the Rye Way area just after 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 16 May).

The four arrested were:

• A 22-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug
• A 34-year-old man from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug
• A 37-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and possession of a Class A drug
• A 13-year-old boy from London, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug

The 13-year-old boy has been released from custody but remains under investigation.

The others remain in police custody.

Inspector Chris Taylor said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnesses drug-dealing, or anyone who has concerns about drug-related activity in their community.”
