Andover Musical Theatre Company (AMTC) brings Made in Dagenham to The Lights Andover, this Spring. Running from 22 – 25 May 2024, this is not a show to be missed!
The vibrant spirit of solidarity and empowerment takes centre stage as AMTC proudly presents Made in Dagenham. Based on the hit film, this thrilling production promises to captivate audiences with powerful storytelling, unforgettable music and heaps of Essex charm.
Set in 1960s Essex, Made in Dagenham follows the inspiring true story of the female workers at the Ford Dagenham automobile plant who took a stand for equal pay. Fuelled by courage, determination, and a shared sense of justice, these women embark on a remarkable journey to challenge the status quo and demand fair treatment in the workplace.
With a talented cast of performers, led by Rita O’Grady (Lou Ellison) and Eddie O’Grady (Eddie Nias), energetic choreography and a score that blends catchy tunes with heartfelt ballads, Made in Dagenham brings this pivotal moment in history to life in a way that is both entertaining and thought-provoking.
