The church wardens have added to their Garden of Hope prayer space outside St Paul’s church in smannell road in Andover.
Below the front grating there are now a planter trough, some seeds and flag markers to plant our own ‘seed of hope’ while remembering those we have lost (a name can be written on the flag placed above the planted seed).
There are also some prayer cards if you would like some guided words to pray at the space or at home. (please follow Covid guidelines while at the space, observing social distancing and wash/sanitise hands afterwards)
Tues 23rd March marks a year since the first lockdown began. The seeds of hope is their way of joining in with the National Day of Reflection remembering all those we have sadly lost during this pandemic.
St Pauls post on their Facebook page, “Please come and brighten up our Hope Garden Space outside St Paul’s. We have gathered all our coloured ‘ribbon prayers’ together and made a beautiful butterfly as a symbol of Hope. We would love you to add your creativity to the Hope Garden Space – it could be a flower, a poem, a picture, a prayer or anything that speaks of Hope for the future. You and your family and friends can either add them directly to the space or send them in a message to us and we can add them.”
They also have a wall of hope outside their sister church at St Michaels, Church Lane Enham Lane, Knight’s Enham, Andover SP10 4DS.
