Glitz, Glamour, and Unforgettable Moments: Andover Musical Theatre Company Takes the Stage with ‘Priscilla Queen of The Desert

The upcoming theatrical sensation in Andover is the musical phenomenon “Priscilla Queen of The Desert,” presented by the Andover Musical Theatre Company. The company is making a bold return with a production that promises to be a stark departure from their previous show.

Adapted from the beloved 1994 film, “Priscilla Queen of The Desert” follows the journey of two drag queens, Tick (played by Paul Marsh) and Adam (portrayed by Sebastian Blake), alongside a transgender woman named Bernadette (embodied by Ed Nias). Their adventure unfolds as they traverse Australia in the somewhat unreliable Priscilla bus.

The flamboyant trio from Down Under faces numerous challenges, encountering individuals less accepting of their uniqueness than they had hoped. Undeterred, they strive to stage the grandest show on earth, showcasing how love triumphs over adversity.

The production is a celebration of differences, commonalities, love, family, and the pursuit of a vibrant life. Boasting three captivating leads, poignant moments, and unexpected twists, this spectacle promises to captivate both the eyes and ears of the audience.

Residents are urged to dust off their heels and feather boas to ensure they don’t miss out on the theatrical highlight of the year. The show is scheduled to run at The Lights from Wednesday, November 29, to Sunday, December 2.
