In a remarkable display of community spirit and determination, the members of Kick Out The Stigma – Andover recently achieved an outstanding feat by raising an impressive £1050 for Andover Mind. This local football group, driven by a passion for both the sport and mental health advocacy, set out on a mission to make a positive impact, and they not only met but exceeded their fundraising target of £1,000.
The group’s elation was evident as they celebrated the success of their four-month-long fundraising campaign. “We smashed it; our target was £1k, and we went over. Couldn’t be more proud of the group hitting a whopping £1050 for Andover Mind in 4 months of running. Thank you, everyone, for supporting us to make this happen. You’re all amazing,” shared one of the group organizers.
The culmination of their efforts was marked by a heart-warming visit to the Andover Wellbeing Centre, where key figures of Kick Out The Stigma – Andover, including Mike Ford, Marc James, Robbie Husk, and Justin Hudgell, presented Andover Mind with a symbolic cheque representing the funds raised. The atmosphere was charged with gratitude and accomplishment as the group handed over the substantial donation, acknowledging the importance of mental health awareness and support in the community.
