In a heartwarming display of Christmas spirit, Jordan Wylie MBE, the award-winning adventurer, bestselling author, and Channel 4 Hunted star, traded in his usual pursuits for a sleigh ride in the skies over Hampshire & Wiltshire.
On this occasion, Wylie wasn’t on the trail of fugitives or celebrities; instead, he took to the skies in a helicopter to deliver presents to local schools, embodying the festive spirit as Santa Claus himself.
One of Andover’s most recognisable figures, Wylie embraced the role of Santa with gusto, donning the iconic red suit and snowy beard to bring joy and smiles to students in schools throughout the local area, including Zouch Academy in Tidworth.
Nina Johnson, the Headteacher at Zouch Academy, expressed her gratitude for Wylie’s involvement in their festive activities, highlighting the longstanding collaboration they’ve enjoyed. “We have worked with Jordan for many years. He often visits our children to inspire them and shares the lessons he has learned from his expeditions around the world. When we needed a Santa for our end-of-year celebrations, I knew the perfect man for the job!”
In a morning interview, Wylie shared his enthusiasm for the experience, describing it as “great fun” to collaborate with the Army Air Corps and their skilled pilots. Reflecting on the event, he added, “Working with the pilots to bring smiles to children’s faces was definitely one of my favourite adventures this Christmas.”
Fans of Jordan Wylie can anticipate seeing more of him on their screens in 2024, as he returns for a new series of the BAFTA-nominated TV shows, Hunted and Celebrity Hunted, on Channel 4. Wylie continues to captivate audiences, not only with his daring adventures around the globe but also with his commitment to spreading joy and inspiration, especially during the festive season.
