MacIntyre, a national charity that supports people with learning disabilities and/autism, has launched a new free online service in Hampshire. The MacIntyre Online Learning Centre will offer a range of weekly learning and social activities on zoom.
The charity is working in partnership with Hampshire County Council to provide a varied timetable of online services to anybody in Hampshire with a Learning Disability or Autism or both for free until the end of March 2022.
MacIntyre has had great success hosting online services that started up during COVID-19 related lockdowns. Having developed more online learning and social activities MacIntyre hopes to support more individuals, getting them involved in activities they have an interest in whilst in the comfort of their own home. In order to take part interested individuals will need to complete a registration form to book onto activities in advance.
Speaking about the new service Tristan Mabey, Area Manager at MacIntyre said, ‘I’m really excited that we are going to be able to make such a positive difference to the lives of many individuals in Hampshire. We have been working closely with Hampshire County Council to develop a fantastic service that meets the needs of people with Learning Disabilities or Autism in our region.’
