Odeon today have announced that their Andover location will be back open on 16 July.
Andover movie goers will be delighted to get their cinema experience again at their local venue. Odeon have brought in new safety measures that include contactless ticket checks and payments, limited seats on sale for each show and guaranteed unoccupied seats between guests, although families will be allowed to sit together.
They will also have a staggered film schedule that will allow fewer crowds in the lobby. Safe queuing measures will be in place as well. To reduce the staff customer interaction, Odeon have introduced a ‘grab and go’ on pre-packaged food and drinks.
Andover Radios film reviewer, George Phillips is ‘Absolutely ecstatic‘ that the art of cinema has been giving the green light. George who, before lockdown provided film reviews for Andover Radio as part of his online film review presence, George Thoughts, says “The main thing I’ve missed about the cinema is the experience itself. Being dropped into a new story and setting with every visit is one of my favourite things in the world.“
George is a regular visitor to the Odeon in Andover providing quality reviews of the latest films, but George has told us what he has been up to without cinema, “I’ve watched a couple of direct-to-home releases like The Lovebirds and Extraction, but I’ve mostly been working through a back catalogue of classic films that I have yet to see“
George is raring to get back into the cinema “Watched a couple of direct-to-home releases like The Lovebirds and Extraction, but I’ve mostly been working through a back catalogue of classic films that I have yet to see“.
You can find out more and read Georges Thoughts on films on his social media and we are looking forward to hearing George on Andover Radio soon.
