Local business shows support for armed forces

A business in Ludgershall has thrown its support behind the country’s armed forces by signing the armed forces covenant.

EcoTech Ventilation ltd welcomed lieutenant Colonel Duncan Atwell to the signing on Friday the 6th August at the companies’ offices in Ludgershall.

The covenant focusses on helping members of the armed forces community have the same access to government and commercial services and products as any other citizen.

This support is provided in a number of areas including:

  • education and family well-being
  • having a home
  • starting a new career
  • access to healthcare
  • financial assistance
  • discounted services

Lieutenant Colonel Duncan Atwell told us “I head up army engagement for the South West and here we are today which is great. It’s a good day to be getting EcoTech ventilation limited signing up to the armed forces covenant and the employer recognition scheme what a great company who is prepared to support our reservists, our spouses our adult cadets’ volunteers which is fantastic.”

Managing director Shawn Boersma said after the signing “ We have been going for 2 and a half years and we took it upon ourselves as a company to do the armed forces covenant as it’s something dear to our hearts, we are very active in supporting our armed forces when they leave the military and provide opportunity and we can for them moving forward. We feel great about today and hope to help in the future.”
