A capital idea from Andover’s extreme adventurer

Jordan Wylie from Andover Learns Capital Cities with daughter Evie

Andover’s extreme adventurer and TV personality is putting time with his daughter to fun, educational use.

Jordan Wylie is challenging his daughter Evie to learn the capital cities of all 196 countries in the world.

The best selling author has had to take a break from his ‘Running Dangerously Polar Expeditions’ because of Covid-19. In the time available, he has challenged his 10-year old daughter who goes to Anton Juniors to learn and recite each capital city.

“We think this is a brilliant idea”, said Sarah Gisbourne from Love Andover FamilyLife. “If every parent in Andover could follow Jordan’s lead, we’d end up with a town full of geography stars when we all get back to school.

“We are going to try this as a team on our daily video conference tomorrow morning. But to be honest, no-one is going to do as well as Evie”.

On a short Facebook post yesterday Evie successfully recalled the capital cities of all counties beginning with the letters A and B.

Jordan says, “We are also working on a colouring and work book for other children that should be ready in the next week or two. We will be able to email out the digital book for a small charitable donation to Frontline Children.”

Frontline Children is one of Jordan’s chosen charities which supports children across the world who have suffered the effects of war.

2 years ago myself & Evie decided we would learn 196 capital cities of the world. Here she is in action. I thought I would share this as it’s a great challenge for those who are home schooling and a fun excercise too. We are also working on a colouring and work book for other children that should be ready in the next week or two that we will be able to email out to your homes for a small charitable donation to Frontline Children ? ? ✈️
