Andover went into SoapBox fever on the 29th of May and now Andover Mind have benefitted from the event as the Andover Community Events team handed over a cheque for £8,500 that was raised from the event.

Kevin Rush and Paul Whitewick from Andover Community Events were joined by the events main sponsors Katie Brooks from Postal Coded and Tammy from Sparkles as they handed over the cheque to Andover Mind.

The event was well attended with over 3000 people coming to the day. The event was very entertaining and provided the Andover people with a new exciting event, and such was the success that the team at Andover Community Events announced that they will be doing it again in 2023, May 28th to be precise.

Kevin Rush said “I’ve done a fair few fundraising events in the past but none got me grinning like a kid more than SoapBox, and none have raised so much in one days activities. Today we presented £8,500 to Andover Mind.

“So many people to thank want to thank my Andover Community Events colleagues, Paul and Rebecca, for helping me make this random thought a reality. And also, as always, Aimee, whom without I simply couldn’t do ANY of the things I do. She is my rock, sound board and the one that puts up with my tantrums and mood swings.

“Have loved SoapBox 2022 and we are already planning SoapBox 2023, May 28th!!Thanks for all the support everyone”.
