Taco Bell plans to serve Andover

Taco Bell Amesbury Andover Salisbury

The popular American fast-food chain Taco Bell has submitted a planning application for a new ‘drive-thru’ hot food restaurant in Amesbury.

Looking to move into Unit 2 on Mid Summer Place in Solstice Park, the application requests permission to provide a drive-thru with a dining area and customer toilets.

If approved, they will join Harvester, Pizza Hut and other food outlets at Solstice Park.

Taco Bell is an American chain with a Mexican inspired menu.

From nachos to tacos, burritos and quesadillas, the restaurant serves up Mexican dishes at a fast-food pace.

The chain is part of the Yum! Brands group that also own the fast-food chains KFC and Pizza Hut, who both already have restaurants in Solstice Park, Amesbury.

Taco Bell opened its first restaurant in the UK at the Lakeside Shopping Centre in Grays, Essex, in 2010. Currently, there are around 93 Taco Bell restaurants in the UK and Amesbury could soon be added to the list.

The planning application, submitted on the 18th January 2022, is approaching the ‘pending decision’ phase and will need to be approved by Wiltshire Council.
