How can we support mums and change the perception of exercise after having a baby?
Post natal mums are at a key life stage change, one where their lives will have changed significantly. Priorities will have changed, personal time will be sparse and energy levels could be impacted due to looking after a new baby.
It is also one of the key stages when women’s activity levels decrease.
What can physical activity providers do to help these women become and remain active in this new life stage?
About the event:
This event will be looking at the postnatal journey back to physical activity from new mum’s perspective and from a practitioner’s perspective with a view to providing the audience with the empathy and knowledge to help shape their offerings and to remove barriers back to physical activity. As part of this, there will be an overview of a new Women’s Pelvic Health programme.
There will be an overview of the latest research and insight into postnatal physical activity and a look at relevant training that is available.
There will also be ample time to connect and meet others via breakout rooms.
