Tribute paid to pedestrian who died following A342 collision

Tribute has been paid to a pedestrian who died following an incident on the A342 Andover to Ludgershall road on Saturday night.

Jason Plested, 30, of Woodstock Way, Surrey, died following an incident involving a silver Volkswagen Golf on the A342 northbound, at around 9.10pm on Saturday 7th April.

Today his family have paid tribute to him saying “Jason, who used to live in Colliers Wood, in south west London, will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was known as a benevolent son, father, brother, cousin, uncle and grandson.

His sudden loss has struck many hearts with devastation. He made many of us laugh with his character and losing him is pain we can never comprehend.

Police no longer believe any other vehicles were involved however investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing and officers would like to hear from any witnesses.

PC Katherine Carr, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was travelling along that road between 9pm and 9.15pm that has dash cam footage of their journey.
