Thruxton’s 50th Anniversary Celebration will have race circuit tours for customers throughout the weekend provided by Unity Transport’s Community Transport service.
The event on the 2nd and 3rd June will also be attended by Murray Walker and Nigel Mansell and see the opening of the new £2 million Thruxton Centre.
Unity Transport will field two buses and one accessible car and at a minimum charge to customers during race ‘downtime’, buses will lap the circuit accompanied by Thruxton Instructors who will commentate bringing to life the circuit, thrills and spills across the years.
Chris Daley, Unity Transport Manager said “To be able to run our buses for spectators on this very special weekend is a real privilege. We are thrilled to be a small part of Thruxton’s 50th Anniversary which will not only help to promote Unity services, but will also help us sing the praises of our volunteer drivers without whom we would not have a service at all.”
Unity Volunteering will also participate on the day with Christianne Ireland promoting the benefits of volunteering and the positive impact this can have on the local community.
Proceeds of the circuit tours will be used to support future Unity work.
