Test Valley Borough Council recently sought feedback from local residents about suggested plans to improve facilities at Vigo Recreation Park in Andover.
Proposals tabled for comment included the installation of a hard landscaped performance space, enhanced by new tree and shrub planting and linked to the existing path network; a path creating a direct line of access across the park to a new pedestrian entrance from the Vigo Roundabout, and new fencing, improved planting, seating, bins and signage.
The consultation has now closed and the Council is considering the feedback received from local residents and event organisers, with a view to drawing up final plans for the enhancement of the space. Work is anticipated to commence over the winter months for completion in the spring 2014.
