What’s on offer from the RCS in Andover

R.C.S Ltd is a community organisation that works across Hampshire to provide a variety of support activities for adults, children and families. They are a not-for-profit organisation who is proactive and reactive to the needs of the communities that they serve.

They are based at the Longmeadow centre on Crickerters Way in Andover and despite Lockdown are still offering the following help and support to the Andover community.

Help with employment

  • The Alliance Programme, a Building Better Opportunities initiative funded by the European Social Fund and National Lottery Community Fund helps people move into employment or training. Support is given in six key areas of Health, Employability, Digital Inclusion, Financial Capability, Work ethic and attitude by experienced support workers. Community Education

During lockdown the RCS are offering free full training online, via zoom. They offer a range of free adultwellbeing, employability, childcare and functional skills courses.

The Community Pantry

Pantry opening hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and  Friday 09:30 – 12:00
Twilight hours: Wednesdays 16:00 – 18:00

The principle of the pantry is to give those in need the opportunity to have a ‘helping hand’ by getting food for a small membership fee per visit.

The Pantry provide a wide range of Fresh, Frozen and Ambient food, giving households reassurance, support to manage and budget, reducing food entering land fill. Read more about the pantry here
