Business Studies students at Andover College put on a quiz to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The kindly students raised over £1,200 for the charity.
A student of Andover College recently passed away due to the disease and students felt so strongly about this, that they set about raising money for the Trust in memory of their fellow peer.
Students are still raising money and are planning to push themselves to their limits and raise money for a Sky Dive in order to further promote the charity. On the Sky Dive they will be donning yellow t-shirts and generating awareness for “such a fab charity“.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only charity in the UK fighting for a ‘Life Unlimited by cystic fibrosis’ for the people who live with it.
According to 2018 figures from the charity, around 10,400 people in the UK have cystic fibrosis – that’s 1 in every 2,500 babies born.
Andover students raised a staggering £1260. A spokesperson for Andover College told Andover Radio, “We are so proud of all the effort our students put in to create such an amazing event”.
