The 22nd Engineer Regiment will celebrate their return from operational duties in Afghanistan with a homecoming parade through Andover on Saturday 12th October.

The unit – based in Perham Down – will provide the opportunity for families, friends and local residents to support the locally based regiment, and show their appreciation for the work of individual serving soldiers and the wider Armed Forces.

After an address by the Mayor of Test Valley Borough Council and military dignitaries, the parade will march along Bridge Street and East Street towards the Vigo Road roundabout, giving spectators lots of opportunity to view the parade.

The Army Air Corps will be providing a flypast on the day, and the Band of the Corps of Royal Engineers will be playing. The parade will be followed by a private Medals Ceremony at Swinton Barracks in Perham Down.
