BID: Professional services in Andover

During the lockdown periods we have all suffered, the Andover Business Improvement District (BID) has continued to support its town centre members.

One initiative that the town centre management company launched towards the end of last year was a series of short promotional videos which highlight the many independent local retailers we have in Andover town centre.

However, the BID is not just there to help support retailers, Andover’s high street area has a number of professional services such as estate egents, solicitors and accountants.

BID Manager Steve Godwin told 95.9FM Andover Radio, “Following the amazing success of that series of ALSO videos for Andover retailers we are now reaching out to our members who are practising as professional services in the town and we are calling this service Andover Local Professional Services Online.

“That might include accountants’ solicitor’s estate agents or recruitment agencies.

Each of the BID’s short videos lasts for around two minutes and are recorded in full compliance with COVID-19 restrictions.

“We either professionally record online through film or on a one to one socially distanced basis”, says Mr Godwin. “With an emphasis on the service that the professional offers and the recording is then posted to our YouTube channel and launched weekly on social media through platforms such as professional LinkedIn Facebook and of course through Love Andover.

“In our small town it is amazing to see the amazing array of professional services that we have operating in the town centre.”

The BID say they are determined to celebrate the professionalism of local companies and give each business its own platform to promote themselves and tell local people what it can offer.

Impressive local accountancy and bookkeeping company Oaktree Accountants on Bridge Street are highlighted in their first interview of 2021 as company director Lucy MacGinnis explains how their personal services help local companies assist both start-up and existing businesses with growth.

The Andover BID invite other companies who wish to be considered for this promotion to contact Andover BID via their website here.
