Figures from Hampshire Constabulary show that 196 people were arrested on suspicion of drink driving as part of their #It’sNotWorthTheRisk campaign – up from 174 last year.
This included 14 people from Andover of the 167 men and 29 women caught during the period 1st to 29th December. Of these, the oldest was aged 82, and the youngest aged just 17.
The full breakdown for the county was:

- Fareham and Gosport – 20
- Hart and Rushmoor – 17
- Havant – 14
- Andover – 14
